Our Environmental Policy encompasses the following key pledges and completed actions:

EFS Global Pledges:

  1. Net Zero Emissions by 2040: We pledge to achieve net zero emissions by 2040, aligning our operations with a sustainable and low-carbon future.
  2. Tree Planting Initiative: To contribute positively to our ecosystem, we will fund the planting of 2,000 trees annually until 2040, promoting biodiversity and offsetting our carbon footprint.
  3. Fleet Transition to Renewable Fuels: By December 2027, our fleet will transition to a combination of renewable fuels alongside DERV (Diesel Engine Road Vehicle), aiming to reduce our reliance on traditional fossil fuels.
  4. Electric and Renewable Biomethane Adoption: It is our commitment that by December 2027, at least 20% of our fleet will utilize electric and renewable biomethane, fostering a sustainable transportation system.
  5. Solar Panel Integration: All EFS depots will be equipped with solar panels by December 2027, harnessing renewable energy to power our facilities.
  6. Continuous Innovation and Monitoring: We will remain proactive in monitoring technological advancements and sustainability evidence, ensuring that we adapt and implement the latest sustainable practices.
  7. Paperless Initiative: We will continue our drive to become a paperless company, utilizing virtual invoice and delivery note capture systems to reduce paper consumption and environmental impact.

Sustainability Completed Actions:

  1. Head Office Solar Panel Installation: Solar panels have been successfully installed at our head office, contributing to our renewable energy usage.
  2. Fleet Renewal and Efficiency: EFS has consistently reduced the average age of its fleet over the past 5 years, promoting efficiency and reducing emissions.
  3. Vehicle Tracking Systems: All new vehicles are equipped with tracking systems to monitor efficiency and emissions, allowing us to make data-driven decisions for environmental improvements.
  4. Driver Behaviour Management: Proactive management of driver behaviour helps minimize our environmental impact, promoting responsible driving practices.
  5. Road Safety Commitment: Our dedication to road safety not only protects our colleagues and other road users but also reduces accidents, subsequently decreasing costs and environmental waste.
  6. Electric Company Cars: The entire EFS Global management team’s company cars are electric, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable transportation.
  7. Future Fleet Initiatives: Orders for DAF electric 18t vehicles and a trial of an Iveco renewable biomethane artic truck showcase our ongoing efforts to integrate cutting-edge sustainable vehicles into our fleet.
  8. Ecologi: We’re collaborating with the Ecologi platform to support initiatives aimed at funding climate projects.
